Hello! I am from Ohio originally, but have moved around a bit over the years (e.g., Michigan, Arizona, California). I am currently calling Missouri home. I have been lucky enough to have traveled for work, and for pleasure; I have been to 38 states and six countries. I really enjoy taking in the many amazing things our world has to offer!
I consider myself to be fairly adventurous; I will try just about anything at least once (e.g ., skydiving, off the beaten path adventures, questionable delicacies, etc.). I believe that you cannot fully understand many things until you have tried them yourself.
I have had a number of hobbies over the years. I enjoy being active (e.g., hiking, snowboarding, playing most sports, etc.), quiet time is good too though (e.g., reading, cooking, and playing board games), and the occasional creative outlet is a must (e.g., glassblowing, woodworking, and writing).
In regard to my professional life, I have worked in a number of industries, from hospitality to manufacturing. I have also held a range of roles in these industries over the years, from sales to supervisor. Most recently I have been working as a Controls Tech, maintaining electrical systems at a General Mills flour mill. Prior to that I was working as a Human Factors Researcher, working on Electronic Healthcare Records software user interfaces. I find that the wide array of experiences has given me a substantial breadth of knowledge, which has made me a valuable asset in positions I have held. I am hopeful that I can find a position that is able to reconcile some of my array of experiences.
